Website | Flickr | TwitterMy name is Sadie Nicole and I’m 21 years old.
In my early childhood I discovered I had the gift of a great visual memory. I could recall moments with such ease—it was like having an ever-playing cinema in my imaginative, young mind. I could feel the sun against my freckled face if I just closed my eyes and remembered the Indian summers. I could see my mother’s radiant smile after she had fallen in love, again. I could remember my chronic nightmares even years after the nights they happened. My memory inspired me to create and recreate, and has been doing so ever since. These nostalgic and wistful moments flood my mind, like the memory of driving across the country, staring at the yellow fields of grass and wondering if a place called home really existed. Like the memory of holding my newborn niece for the first time. Like the memory of being in a wildly reckless and ruinous love.
I pull inspiration from my life, and some of these memories are blissfully inspiring while others are hauntingly somber. These moments are honest. They are memories of all sorts, and I infuse them in a unique way that narrates a story, but not just any kind of tall tale. I narrate the story of who I am.
I’m currently located in Colorado and pursuing a BFA in Art.
